The Philippine Association for Teachers of Educational Foundations (PATEF) is pleased to invite you to its 2011 Midyear National Convention with the theme: Internationalization: Key to Global Competitiveness. This will be held on November 25 to 27, 2011 at the Palawan State University Performing Arts Center, Tiniguiban Campus, Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan.
This 3-day gathering of teacher educators, administrators of TEIs, basic education teachers, and other stakeholders in education aims to: 1) expose participants to trends, processes, and practices in internationalizing educational institutions for global competitiveness; 2) enable participants to plan research possible for international publication and other actions to help improve one's institution to reach its target level of internationalization; 3) provide a venue for discussing implications of internationalizing education to produce globally competitive citizens; and 4) to improve education across levels to be at par with international benchmarks. The registration fee is three thousand five hundred pesos (Php3,500) inclusive of convention kit, snacks, and lunch. Participants from government institutions may charge this amount against their local funds, subject to availability and the usual auditing rules and regulations. The active members may avail of a 10% discount upon presentation of their membership ID.
