PATEF

is a professional organization registered at Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with Reg. No. CN 200400310, dated January 13, 2004.

 

Prof. Emerson Lucas, professor of U.E and former board member of the association, designed the logo of PATEF. Man craves for knowledge and skills as he deems these necessary in his development and his pursuit for excellence in all human endeavors. The book represents the stored knowledge and skills which can be acquired by man through reflective study. The two men, at the center of the logo correspond to people who help and continuously try to provided guidance and assistance to others in their quest for excellence in their chosen field of endeavor. They also symbolize the very essence of the PATEF existence which is comprised of teacher educators, instructional leaders, education advocates, higher education teachers and teachers of basic education, educational researchers who espouse quality education through excellence in teacher education. The torch with its flame, held by open hands signify the willingness, openness and the burning desire of PATEF to bring light and inspiration to everyone needing an education and more importantly, to nurture personal and social development. The three circles of rays represent the three regions of the Philippines-Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, to which PATEF hopes to extend its advocacy.

 

Henceforth, PATEF endeavors to support the development of teacher educators and teachers across levels and curricula through faculty development initiatives, seminar- workshops on the foundations of education, trends and issues in teacher education and education in general.
