PATEF-UPDATE welcomes its new set of officers who took their oath of office last December 18, 2021 in the Induction ceremony led by the organization’s former president and advisory council member, Dr. Marilyn U. Balagtas.
The newly elected officers and board members who will lead the organization for the next two years is headed by its President, Dr. Bert J. Tuga, the President of Philippine Normal University. Other elected officers are: Vice President, Dr. Celia Ilanan; Secretary, Prof. Annabelle Palmiery; Asst. Secretary, Dr. Raquel Larang; Treasurer, Prof. Lydia Calapardo; Asst. Treasurer, Dr. Victoria delos Santos; Auditor, Dr. Maria Luz Badiola, and PRO, Dr. Marcia Corazon Rico. Its Board Members are Dr. Brando Palomar, Prof. Gerry Areta, Dr. Marivilla Lydia Aggarao, Prof. Jeffrey Ginez, Prof. Imelda Edna Legazpi, Prof. Felicidad Corenna Broño, and Prof. Bryan Amaranto.
The election was held last Dec. 18, 2021 via Helios Voting apps during the members’ general assembly where the former and current Treasurer, Prof. Lydia Calapardo gave first the organization’s financial report. This was immediately followed by the 2nd annual international webinar held via zoom apps with the theme “Rehumanizing Education in the Time of Technological Advancement” with Dr. Alex Bennet as the speaker.

Rex Bookstore, Inc. will hold its 14th Annual National Convention with the theme:
“Education 4.0: Challenges and Directions” on November 28 - 30, 2018 at The Heritage Hotel Manila, Philippines.
Education 4.0 has been tagged as the
future of education that responds to the needs of the fourth industrial revolution (IR 4) where digital penetration in human life will be at its peak. Thus, the annual convention focuses on the challenges and directions of education that has been re-shaped by the immense potentials of digital technologies through the power of networks, personalized data, and open-sourced content.
This convention aims to gather teacher educators, teachers, school administrators, researchers, and other education stakeholders to: a) keep abreast with the trends and developments on digital technologies in education; b) engage in meaningful discussions on the issues surrounding the globally-connected and technology-fueled learning; c) share best practices and researches on digitally-driven instruction; and d) establish linkages with agencies and institutions that promote quality teacher education.

2017 Mid-Year National Convention
The Philippine Association for Teachers of Educational Foundations now United Professionals for the Development and Advancement of Teacher Education (PATEF-UPDATE) in cooperation with Pangasinan State University would like to invite you to its Mid-year National Convention with the theme: “Approaches to Teaching and Assessment for the 21st Century Learning” on May 18-20, 2017 at Covention Hall, Pangasinan State University, Lingayen, Pangasinan.

2012 National Convention
The Philippine Association for Teachers of Educational Foundations (PATEF) will hold its 2012 National Convention with the theme "The Philippine Education System: Updates, Directions and Implications to Teacher Education" on July 5 to 7, 2012 at the Bayview Park Hotel, Roxas Boulevard, Manila. This 3-day gathering of teacher educators, administrators of TEIs, basic education teachers, and other stakeholders in education aims to provide a venue for the participants to: 1) be updated on the current issues and directions of the Philippine Education System; 2) draw implications on teacher education from the discussions on curriculum, instruction, assessment and research; and 3) share insights and practices on how to improve teacher education in the Philippines.
