Sixth National Convention of the Philippine Association for Teachers of Educational Foundations (PATEF)

The Philippine Association for Teachers of Educational Foundations (PATEF) will hold its 6th National Convention on April 16-18, 2009 at Bayview Park Hotel, Roxas Blvd. Cor United Nations Avenue, Manila with the theme "National Competency-Based Teacher Standards (NCBTS): Implications to Curricular Reforms in Teaching Education"

The convention objectives are to:

a. Have a thorough understanding of the NCBTS

b. discuss issues on the curricular reforms especially the proposed five-year program in teacher education;

c. know about the new competencies; and

d. implement schemes of Elementary and Secondary Education Curriculum.
